“I’ll do anything to support my friends’ creativity, except for sharing it on social media,” claims man on Facebook
2 min readFACEBOOK—A local man on facebook claimed Monday afternoon that he is very proud of all of his friends, especially as he watches them create new content and broadcast themselves on the internet.
“I’m convinced that I’m surrounded by some of the most creative people on the planet. They do things I’d never be able to do, and I think they’ll really go places in life,” he said in a status update. “I really wish there was more I could do to help them out, you know?”
A few of the man’s friends responded in a comment informing him that the most important thing he can do is to share the post via social media.
“Word of mouth is the best thing to do for your creative friends,” said one Facebook comment.
He didn’t change his stance, however.
“I mean… I hit the like button,” said the Facebook man, “and I occasionally use the ‘Laugh’ react if it’s really funny. But sharing it seems like I’d be advertising the link to others, and I don’t want to do that.”
One facebook user asked the man what the last post he shared was.
“I think I downloaded and shared a TikTok cat video earlier today,” said the man, ” but that’s different, because it’s already popular. My friends aren’t popular yet, so I don’t want to share their stuff.”
Creative artists on facebook fled to the comments section and all agreed on one thing—if everyone who’s friends with a creative person shared at least one post, more of them would become successful.
“In the meantime,” said one commenter, “if you still don’t want to share the post, the least you can do is donate $5 to help them keep working on it.”
