Texas Governor meant to enforce use of masks a long time ago – forgot to reply all

AUSTIN—Governor Greg Abbott made an announcement on Thursday that masks would now be required across Texas. In a brief Q&A, he admitted that he thought he had made this move a few months prior, however he forgot to reply all to the email.

“I’m still not sure how this technology stuff works,” said Abbott. “In certain situations, people scold you for replying all, yet some it’s required. I can’t figure this out.”

Abbott also announced that social distancing would be enforced and bars would be closed. He made it clear in the Thursday announcement that other methods would be done to ensure the safety of Texans, but likely he forgot to hit send, or fellow Texas lawmakers neglected to check their email.
