“It might soon be time to think about Coronavirus,” Gov. Abbot claims

1 min read

AUSTIN—Governor Abbot claimed yesterday in a press conference that maybe, it might be time to start looking into potentially doing something small about COVID-19.

“I’m not sure yet,” says Abbott, “but it looks like it’s getting really bad. I’ve already told bars to shut down but I’m starting to believe that we might have to do more than that. Maybe we’ll do something like, I don’t know, ask companies to place those stickers on the ground showing people where to stand. That seems to be working well in some parts of the state.

Meanwhile, a group of local bars have collectively decided to sue Abbott for forcing them to close amid a sweeping pandemic.

“I might open the bars again,” Abbott told the press. “It’s just, I know there’s a pandemic and people are dying, and Texas is doing poorly, but I just don’t like upsetting people. It makes me sad to tell people to be safe.”

Texas has reported 7,000 cases of coronaviruses in one day yesterday and the number continues to climb.
