Confused Facebook man claims masks reduce oxygen levels, clearly forgetting what COVID-19 does

FACEBOOK—A grossly incompetent man on Facebook shared a video of a man in his car with no medical experience ranting about how wearing a mask can slightly reduce oxygen levels of the person wearing it, clearly forgetting the fact that COVID-19 can significantly reduce oxygen levels of the person wearing it.

“Masks reduce oxygen levels in your lungs,” said the Facebook man, who forgot to site any reputable sources, look up any scientific data supporting his claim, or even do a basic Google search.

When friends of the grossly incompetent man commented on the video with sources of scientific research and reasons why wearing a mask is the responsible and logical thing to do, the man responded with a poorly-worded meme instead of having a genuine discussion or conceding to the point that medical professionals know more about health issues than a random person who recorded a video of himself and posted it on Facebook.

Soon after, the conversation lead to a religious debate about “what Jesus would have done.” At which point, everyone with a half-ounce of independent thought stopped reading.
